- Mouse pad
- Phone Charger
- Car batteries
- Shirt buttons!
- Paint
- Floorboards
- Window coverings
- Gas for delivering these products to sellers, distributors, and consumers
- Factory machinery
- Wind turbines and solar panels–and, ironically, power backup for those “renewables.”
- AND Food, laundry, heating, driving
In 1950 over 60% of the world’s population was undernourished, but because of insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fossil-fueled farm equipment, that number was down to less than 9% in 2019.
But with what global warming we do have, wouldn’t it be easier for the hysterics to advocate using nuclear? You would think so.

All these things have created utter havoc with a natural world. It may be that mankind is no longer so hungry, but he is in the process, destroying the very foundations of God’s creation.
There are many ways of improving soil conditioning and managing food production. In fact, looking back to God’s law given to the Jews, you will find instructions to manage land and animal husbandry and I holistic a mutually beneficial way.
Soil is a living entity and we are exhausting it. All the multiple fertilisers. We are throwing on it, create run-off into streams, rivers and seas and produce life deadening side effects, such as fungal blooms, and the lack of oxygen. pesticides have brought a palling damage to all types of insects, and by default all the other animals within the food chain that rely on insects for food. Plant species, bird, species, fish, insects, and the entire interdependent range of life from microscopic to the biggest elephant are impacted. It is incontrovertible that hydrocarbons, whilst having some benefits also cause a lot of damage, so we should be very very aware of just what the overuse of all these things do to God’s creation.

I can understand your points, but overall I think the list is correct in its approach. The fossil fuel boom has been largely a boon to humans on Earth. I think it’s despicable when we go to third world countries and tell them they can’t use fossil fuels to lift themselves from poverty. We use them as an experiment rather than assist them. For instance, doing away with mosquitos through insecticides is noble because of the lives it saves. We’re too cozy in the West and don’t realize how good we have it because of fossil fuels. We can work on lowering green house gasses through transitioning to gas from coal for those countries–and China, which escapes to eye of those who are protesting here. The benefits far outweigh the detriments.
